Vice President Jejomar C. Binay on Saturday led the inauguration and ground breaking ceremony of two housing projects in Benguet that will benefit 459 families.
Binay first led the inauguration of Mega Realm Housing Project in Shilan, La Trinidad, Benguet. The project is situated in an 11 hectare property and will benefit 365 of its members of the Mega Realm Cooperative.
For this project, the Pag-IBIG fund approved total loan value of P180,518,195.49 for the acquisition and development of the property.
Binay then led the groundbreaking ceremony of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Region (PRO-COR) Housing Project in Tawang, La Trinidad.
It is a project of the PRO-COR Employees Multipurpose Cooperative that is located in a 2.5-hectare property in Sitio Tayaoan, Tawang, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The project, with an average lot size of 120 square meters, will benefit 94 families consisting of 81 PNP personnel, 1 retiree and 12 PNP dependents.
Binay said the PRO-COR Housing Project is the first time he saw a housing project that was initiated by the police. He said projects such as these only shows the government is committed in providing decent and affordable housing for all.
